Paez

Paez is an Argentenian company that makes alpargatas, a tradional Argentenian shoe.  Alpargatas first became popular in Buenos Aires in the 1800s, because of their breathable, glove-like fit.  In 2007, a group of three Argentenian friends decided to make alpargatas with a twist, using fun colors and patterns.  All Paez shoes are made in San Martin, Argentina, under strict fair labor standards, and with an eye toward reducing environmental impact.  Paez’s commitment to manufacturing its shoes in Argentina, resisting the trend to move its production overseas, sets it apart from other makers of alpargatas.
Paez have soft canvas uppers, cotton lining, a cushioned leather insole, and an EVA rubber sole for traction.  Paez are designed to fit snuggly.  They will stretch to fit the shape of your child’s foot after about a day’s wear.  Because Paez are durable and washable, they are an extremely versatile shoe that’s good for everyday, and for going to the beach or to the park.
