            Twig is an American (and Texan!), family-owned company and as such, prefers smaller, family-owned stores as vendors for their products.
All Twig shoes are leather-lined, because leather allows the nearly half pint of moisture a child’s foot produces daily to escape.  These leather insoles can be removed and replaced, and most Twig shoes come with an extra pair of extra insoles.  Twig shoes are treated with an environmentally friendly spray that resists water and dirt to keep your child’s shoes looking nice. 
            Twig combines comfort with simple, appealing style.  Even dressier styles of Twig shoes have a sturdy rubber sole that makes them an excellent dress shoe choice for active children.  Twig shoes appear to run large in comparison to many other shoe brands. In actuality, their shoe sizes match up precisely to the measurements on the Brannock Device (the American standard foot measuring devise). This eliminates the need to ‘round up’ or buy bigger to ‘leave room to grow’ as these measurements already account for growth to provide the most ideal fit.
