Vibram FiveFingers was launched in 2006 and supports the concept of minimalism and minimalist running in particular. Wearing FiveFingers for running, fitness training, water sports or just for fun will make your feet stronger and healthier—naturally. And while we do love our Vibram FiveFingers®, we don’t believe it is the only footwear you will ever need. There are many times when you need the protection and security of a shoe or boot. Like all things in life, there is a balance, and Vibram FiveFingers® provides a healthy alternative to traditional footwear. It’s important to remember to transition slowly to FiveFingers in order to build strength in your lower legs and feet and to minimize discomfort. An adjustment period is normal, and any discomfort should decrease after a week or two of use. This is a shoe unlike any other and will take some getting used to as your body rediscovers the freedom and strength of your barefeet.
The smallest size is a 12, but most styles will start at a 1Youth and go to a 6 Youth. We have found it best for kiddos when they are able to put them on by themselves. This ensures that they will have all posible freedom with their shoes and be able to get right to playing.
